The difference between variable frequency motor and ordinary motor

1. The cooling system is different

The cooling fan in the ordinary motor is fixed on the rotor of the motor, but it is separated in the variable frequency motor. Therefore, when the frequency conversion speed of the ordinary fan is too low, the slow speed of the fan will cause the air volume to decrease, and the motor may burn out due to overheating.

2. Different insulation grades

Because the frequency conversion motor has to withstand high-frequency magnetic fields, the insulation level is higher than that of ordinary motors. The frequency conversion motor has strengthened slot insulation: the insulating material is strengthened and the thickness of the slot insulation is increased to improve the level of high-frequency voltage.

3, the electromagnetic load is not the same

The operating point of ordinary motors is basically at the inflection point of magnetic saturation. If they are used for frequency conversion, they are easy to saturate and generate higher excitation current. However, when the frequency conversion motor is designed, the electromagnetic load is increased, so that the magnetic circuit is not easily saturated.

4. Different mechanical strength

The frequency conversion motor can be adjusted arbitrarily within its speed regulation range, and the motor will not be damaged. Most of the ordinary domestic motors can only run under the conditions of AC380V/50HZ. Not too big, otherwise the motor will heat up or even burn out.
